Gotcha4Life’s School Program Gets a Playful Makeover

Gotcha4Life has been helping Aussies build their mental fitness through workplace, sports club and high school initiatives. But with half of all mental health challenges beginning before the age of 14, the not-for-profit wanted to find ways to actively build mental fitness skills to prevent challenges before they happen. That's why they created Mentally Fit Primary Schools—a prevention-first, whole-school approach to building mental fitness and wellbeing for students, teachers and parents.

“One day I’d like to see mental fitness be a subject in school, just like maths and English. Our Mentally Fit Schools initiative has the opportunity to transform how we build wellbeing and mental fitness in this nation.”

Gus Worland, Gotcha4Life Founder, TED Speaker, Australian of the Year Nominee

We were tasked with bringing the new program to life and instilling a fresh and exciting youthfulness to the usually more serious subject. Through the use of playful cut-outs, a custom font and an extended colour palette, we created a suite of resources that were fun and inviting to use, helping to make mental fitness exercises a welcome part of the school day. The playful new identity was rolled out across campaign collateral, school resources and social media.
